The Team

Our Directors

Our Directors may no longer be teenagers, but all created or joined TWE during their teen years. They now oversee the organisation and help out in their free time, making sure our volunteers continue to have a good experience with us!

Emily

Founder of TWE
She/They - England

I created TWE to make sure that others like me had a digital space where they could feel less alone and get advice from non-judgemental peers. 10 years later, I aim to provide young people worldwide with a digital space to share their experiences, advice, and promote their creative work and incredible pieces.

Tabitha

Writing & Quality Director

Piper (Pips)

Creative Director
They/She - UK-based

I joined Teenagers With Experience to not only boost my CV and develop new as well as pre-existing skills but I also joined to try to help people in the ways I wish I was. I joined during a traumatic time in my life and needed a space where I could begin to heal in a way that was healthy and productive.

Promotional Director
They/Them - UK
Joining TWE has helped me both mentally and socially. It’s given me a supportive space where I feel understood, which has boosted my confidence and eased a lot of the self-doubt I used to carry. Being part of the group has also helped me connect with others, build friendships, and feel more comfortable engaging socially.

Our Volunteers

Our volunteers can be found from around the globe! We are always welcoming anyone between the ages of 13 and 25 to join our organisation and help create content for our website, social media platforms, and more! A big thank you to everyone who is currently or has ever dedicated some time to our little website!

Eloise

Writer & Proof-Reader
She/Her - South Wales
I joined TWE because I love writing and want to be able to guide and help others through my articles!

Shradha

Writer
She/Her - India
I joined TWE because I want to support young people by writing about mental health in a way that feels comforting, relatable, and genuinely helpful. Through TWE, I hope my words can make someone feel a little less alone.

Alfie

Writer
He/Him - North West, UK
I joined TWE to gain some writing experience and to connect with other people on topics that are relevant to young people.

AJ

Writer
She/Her - Oceania
I joined TWE because I love to write, and I hoped my words might help other teens feel less alone.

Rosie

Writer
She/Her - Australia
I joined TWE because I really enjoy writing about topics that matter to young people, and I want to contribute to a space where teens feel understood, supported, and represented. Through volunteering with TWE, I hope to grow as a writer while helping others feel less alone.

Anusha

Admin
She/Her - UK
I joined TWE because I love what the organisation represents. Moreover, I enjoy reading other members' stories and getting to know each of them. It is refreshing to be a volunteer for a platform where mental health is openly discussed without judgment and where everyone is supportive, lovely and understanding.

Jeb

Writer
England
I joined TWE to support them in helping teens navigate life and tell their story.
