Being Eco Friendly on a Budget

It’s important to be as eco-friendly as possible to preserve the world. At the moment, irreversible damage is being done so we must make the changes to save the planet.
Things such as single-use plastic can be dangerous for the environment, but some products that don’t use that can be pretty pricey at first. As a student, I have a very strict budget but I’ve figured out some ways that work well for me, and hopefully, they’ll work for you too!
Reusable cloths - Minky cloths are a lifesaver! They last so long and you just clean them with some disinfectant! These are good for wiping worktops down, cleaning ovens, cleaning anything really! They’re so good! Much better than getting wet wipes!
Makeup remover and cloths - Bravura London is great, but pretty pricey. Their products come in glass jars and their cloths last forever! But liquid makeup removers or makeup-removing oils are amazing, and much better than makeup wipes! Plus face cloths are amazing for that, especially exfoliating ones! So many shops on Etsy sell them, so then you also get to support small businesses!
Shampoo/conditioner bars - lush do some pretty -lush- ones (excuse the pun) but they can be pricey. There are lots on Amazon and Etsy though! Just store them on a soap dish and they’re brilliant!
Anti-perspirant balm - Holland and Barrett do amazing ones in cardboard, but again somewhat pricey. There are lots on Amazon and Etsy though! These are normally natural though and therefore so much better for your body!
Reusable pads/menstrual cups - for those who menstruate, these are a lifesaver! They can take a little while to get used to, but they’re so much easier to deal with than pads/tampons! They’re fairly pricey at first but they last for such a long time, and that saves you a lot of money in the long run!
Eat fewer animal products - this might be a bit of a weird one, but consuming fewer animal products can help the environment! Personally, I’m vegetarian, so I don’t eat much animal produce anyway, but things like cutting out meat once or twice a week can be so good! Plus it might help your body feel better too!
Public transport - it lessens pollution. Where possible, take public transport or walk. Even cycle somewhere. It’s definitely worth it!
Reuse - re-use everything you can! It might be a bit of a pain but you can definitely make some cute decorations out of single-use plastic!
Those are my little tips for going eco-friendly on a budget! Hopefully, these can be of some use to you. These steps are important to take in order to preserve the planet. And they can help you feel so much better! There are so many different options you can take and it’s worth doing your own research on global warming and what steps we can take as individuals to do our part in preventing it. Though these might not work for everyone, they’re always worth a try.
