a broken home

21/8/2016

If you didn't know already a broken home is where you parents have split up/divorced. Some of the time this can lead to depression, self-harm, anxiety, insomnia etc. for the children. Because these are very serious mental illnesses, this article is about how to cope through a bad time like this.

If you feel depressed, suicidal or just upset please don't isolate yourself. I know everyone says this but it's serious that you don't. You can talk to teachers, friends, local support groups and if it gets this extreme suicide helplines can help you.

Try to stay happy! I know this is obvious but try bit to focus on the things that are bothering you at home. Planning fun activities with friends like shopping, theme parks and road trips can all help you stay happy. Push the negative thoughts to the back of your mind. YOU are in control of YOUR body and YOUR brain so YOU can push the thoughts out so you can have fun and enjoy yourself because everyone deserves that.

Always remember that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and even though you’re in a low place right now you can only get higher. Stay fabulous!
