Do I have to change?
No matter where you live, what school you go to or what friends you have, there will always be stereotypes. Emo, Goth, hipster, camp, preppy, ext.
People always find the need to class people into groups.
It bugs me when people say you have to fit into one. No you don't. Be who you want to! Don't ever change for someone else.
Don't be ashamed by your stereotype. Don't feel the need to change.
You’re always going to be pressured into groups, however you do not need to change.
Say for example you like heavy metal music, but your best friend listens to hip hop but you can't stand hip hop. You wouldn't ask them to change and they wouldn't ask you. So why should others. If they are not important to you, why should it concern them? If it's your family going on at you to change, explain that it has nothing to do with them. It’s your body and it should reflect your personality. You just keep being you.
