fake friends

Have you ever had a fake friend? They treat you like the best thing in the world, but then they drop you in a second. They betray you and stab you in the back. They can be silent but deadly.

I went around Facebook asking people about the time they had a fake friend and this is what they had to say:

My name is Marissa. I thought that this person really wanted to be my friend, and we were friends before, but I found out she was talking behind my back to other people, and I stopped being her friend but she apologized and everything and we were "friends" again. But she started being rude and stuff to me, then I asked her what her deal was like I thought we were friends again but she said " nope I only said that so you would tell me other stuff wrong with your life so I could laugh at you for it behind your back again", Like she really said that to me. And she basically was only my friend to hear about stuff going on in my life so she could laugh about it behind my back to other people, and yeah so I haven't talked to her since. - Marissa, age 16

Hi my name is Mariah. So my "friend" she just kind of talked trash on me to all of her friends that didn’t like me then they did the right thing by telling me and I confronted her and she just said she didn’t didn't talk about me even though I knew that she did it because her friends sent me the screen shots. I told her that I can’t have a friendship with her because I have lost all trust and respect for her, she cried. She's still trying to talk me but then she told a lot of people about my depression. She officially ruined my life by telling people that. I don’t really have that many friends anymore. Then I turned back to depression and cutting again. But it’s getting better, it's not easy but it's worth it - Mariah, age 15

Hey my name is Sarah. She was my " best friend " for a year then she told my dad I had sex ( BTW I didn't ) he grounded me for 2 months. And she called me a cunt to my face then punched me in the face, and I hit her ( I GOT SUSPENDED) and my dad took me out for ice cream all those days I was suspended because I was sticking up for myself. -Sarah, age 14

What's up, my name is Joselyn, so me and my "Friend" we're friends since like 2nd grade and when we started 6th grade she met other people. Most of my friends were her friends as well. So she started talking to one of my really close friends (We're still friends) and started saying all of this fake stuff about me and then she started spreading rumors about me. my really close friend told me about what the fake friend was saying and I went to go talk to the fake one about it. When I asked her about the rumors she denied it at first, then like the week after all these people started saying that she was talking crap about me. So I told her and she confessed that she did do all of that. Apparently she did it because I was being "mean”. She wrote me a big paragraph about how sorry she was and I told her to show me how sorry she really was. Now we're friends but not as close anymore, I don't involve her in my personal life anymore. Joselyn, age 15

So those are stories of some people who have experienced having fake friends in their life. Be careful who you let in your life and share personal stuff with. Know who your real friends are. Stay beautiful :)

Your stories are a little similar to mine but I think we are too young to go through this

I too, have a similar experience. So I was in 7th grade, and towards the end of the school (there was just about 3 months left), an online gmail user came up. They were called GM. And so, they spread rumors about certain girls in my class (my gang). One of them was my best friend of two years. We were so close, and I was convinced she was a soul-sister. Instead if blocking the user, or use their logic, everyone (in 8th and 7th as they were the only ones who were friended by the user) argued with the user, online.

So GM "revealed" that the person who was informing them of the rumors was a girl (XXX). So then everyone avoided XXX like the plague. Afterwards, GM revealed that they were lying.

After that, GM accused me. Everyone left me. I was alone and friendless. Schoolmates would cyberbully me. It was horrible.

That was 3 years ago. Thankfully, I left the school due to financial issues, and joined another school where I got amazing (and hopefully) true friends. Unfortunately, it's extremely hard for me to trust anyone now.

Hi, about 3 months ago i joined my university and I got friend there she was very kind to me she use to treat me like a sister, I noticed something in her that she was jealous of me in studies although as I'm a patient of migraine I can't study effectively I asked her to help in maths she told that she haven't studied and Im Better than her, whenever I said something about my studies she you use to say that she is not studying and she is wasting her time, one day I could not go to my Uni so I asked her to help in maths she told me that she have not solved the exercise although I was doing the 1st problem and she was doing 11 on her register and at the same time our class teacher asked everyone to raise their hand who have done the exercise she raised her hand an way so that I should not see her from that she is constantly doing this and pretend as she is my best friend.
